Terms of Service, Motorcycle Rental & Temporary Ownership Agreement

Rider eligibility, the temporary ownership mechanism for the motorcycle, and deposit, damage and insurance terms.

A. Rider eligibility

  • Valid licensing: the rider declares they hold a valid Israeli motorcycle licence together with a valid physical International Driving Permit (IDP) matching the class of the rented vehicle. Presenting the IDP is a mandatory condition for receiving the vehicle.
  • Age and experience: riding requires a minimum age of 21 and proven riding experience.
  • Mandatory protective gear: a certified helmet and closed shoes are legally required. The rider is responsible for the protective gear and accompanying equipment (racks/bags) they received.

B. Temporary ownership and power of attorney

  • Vehicle status: under local regulation the vehicle is transferred to the rider under a power of attorney / dedicated use agreement for the period defined in the booking.
  • Sole responsibility: from key handover until the vehicle is returned to a company representative at the hub, the rider bears full criminal, civil and traffic liability for every action, traffic report, fine or damage caused by or to the vehicle.
  • No transfer: custody and use of the vehicle are personal to the registered rider only. Transferring, lending or subletting the vehicle to a third party is strictly prohibited.

C. Deposit, damages and insurance

  • Security deposit: custody of the vehicle is conditional on leaving a deposit by card or cash.
  • Damages: in case of an accident or damage from unreasonable use, the repair cost is offset against the deposit.
  • Personal insurance: the company provides operational support only. The rider must hold valid personal travel insurance including a motorcycling and evacuation extension.

Privacy and data protection policy

What data Kanta collects, how it is used, Form C reporting to Indian immigration, and how data is secured.

1. What we collect

  • Identity and contact details: name, phone, email, nationality.
  • Document details required for check-in: passport number, visa type and number, entry dates.
  • Driving licence and IDP details for motorcycle rentals.
  • Booking, payment, cafe tab and stay history.
  • Technical website usage data for security and service improvement.

Full card details are never stored on Kanta servers; processing is handled by an external payment provider.

2. Form C and immigration reporting

Indian law requires every accommodation provider to report foreign guests to the immigration authority (FRRO) via Form C, generally within 24 hours of check-in. For that purpose we transmit the guest's name, passport and visa data, stay dates and the hub address.

This transfer is a legal obligation and is not consent-based. Declining to provide the data prevents check-in of a foreign guest.

3. Use and sharing

  • Managing bookings, stays, rentals, tours and payments.
  • Meeting reporting, tax and insurance obligations.
  • Operational contact by WhatsApp, email or phone regarding your booking.
  • Marketing messages — only with explicit consent and with opt-out at any time.
  • We do not sell personal data to third parties.

4. Security and retention

  • Access is restricted by role (RBAC) and every access is logged.
  • Data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and stored on managed servers with row-level access control.
  • Identity documents are retained for the period required by Indian law and then deleted.
  • Financial records are retained per accounting obligations.

5. Your rights and contact

You may request access to your personal data, its correction, its deletion (subject to statutory retention) or removal from mailings through the contact form on our website. We respond within 30 days.
